Art Deco Pottery Plate by Einar Lutherkort for Upsala Ekeby Sweden c. 1930's Hand-made ceramic pottery plate entitled "Jazz" by noted Swedish potter Einar Lutherkort (1905-1981) for Upsala Ekeby. Beautifully glazed in a matte finish of pale turquoise green/blue and edged in dark brown stain, it depicts a pair of exquisitely incised stylized dancers and musician. "EKEBY" marked on back. Uppsala Ekeby was founded in 1886 as a company manufacturing bricks and tiles. The production of art objects began in 1910. Please contact contact us with any questions.
